Considers the history of modern Russia in three phases: a study of the basic aspects of Marxist-Leninist ideology; chronological coverage of the history of Soviet Russia from the 1917 revolution to the present; and a study of conditions within present-day Russia and her relations with the rest of the world. If prerequisite courses are not met instructor approval is required.
