Overview of weight control and health. Metabolism, energy balance equation, and role of diet and exercise in preventing/treating over-weight and obesity. Methods for assessing body composition. Examination of eating disorders, and behavior modification approaches, surgical intervention and other methods of dealing with mild to severe obesity. This class is not available for graduate credit.
