This course will focus on atomic structure, periodic trends, symmetry, group theory, molecular orbital theory, coordination chemistry, and the electronic and properties of d-metal complexes. The course will feature a capstone project that involves an open-ended coordination chemistry laboratory. Three periods lecture/week. If prerequisite courses are not met instructor approval is required.
