Develops a fundamental knowledge of anatomical and physiological concepts as it applies to physical activity, physical education, fitness, and health of children and adolescents. Presents specific body systems including skeletal, muscular, cardio-respiratory, and nervous. Addresses each system as they pertain to various components of health-related fitness including muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, aerobic capacity, power, and other characteristics related to physical activity, health and physical education.
