Description:
Focuses on live coverage of sporting events and the production of video based sports documentary materials. After successfully completing this course, students will; learn the process of producing media coverage of live sporting events, produce live coverage of a sporting event as a control room staff member, produce live coverage of a sporting event as a camera person, and shoot and edit part of a post-production of sports documentary materials. Specific topics include mobile broadcast solutions, directing and technical directing, camera techniques, graphics, slow motion, microphone placement and polar patterns, storytelling and video editing.
