This course addresses positive behavior support practices used in diverse educational environments. It considers the purpose of behavior, positive approaches for preventing and replacing behaviors, and addresses special education related requirements and processes relating to discipline. The course addresses multi-tiered systems of support and evidenced-based behavioral interventions. SPEC210G is a designated Writing Intensive course for students in the special education degree major.
