Description:
This course provides an overview of occupational health hazards with a discussion focused on the effects of exposure to hazardous chemicals and biological agents. Radiation concerns along with commonly found workplace hazardous materials exposures are also discussed. Preventive measures are explored including medical surveillance programs and the implementation of effective interventions. Toxicity concerns related to workplace hazardous conditions discuss the routes of entry into the human body. Definitions and terms of awareness complete the overview of occupational health hazards.
