Description:
This course discusses principles and best practices related to the identification and management of workplace hazardous materials. It will discuss hazardous waste materials and cover related regulatory awareness and responsibility per the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Transportation (DOT). Discussion will include labeling, handling, transportation, hazard communication, and the globally harmonized system (GHS). It will further provide information related to hazardous materials releases and subsequent clean-up per the OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response standard (HAZWOPER).
