TH 206 - Dating, Marriage & Family

Institution:
Carlow University
Subject:
Theology
Description:
This course explores the human values involved in dating, marriage, and family relationships, primarily from a Christian theological perspective. A key question will be the role of the ideal. Christianity, like all religions and ways of life, holds up certain ideals of what dating, marriage, and family should be. What are the sources of those ideals? What happens when actual experiences of dating, marriage, and family diverge from those ideals?
