This course introduces students to data analytics or data science and applications in the public and private sectors. Students will learn different techniques to collect, prepare, analyze, visualize, and communicate data using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access database, and real-world data sets. Using the concepts of a Database Management System (DBMS), students will study the relational concepts of databases (RDMS), and methodology for organizing data. The course will also address topics such as Web Database Development and Data Warehousing. Students will also be introduced to Structured Query Language (SQL) programming of flexible database platforms. This course prepares students for certification as: Microsoft Office Specialist: Excel Associate
