Extension of the principle topics covered in CHEM 375, with emphasis on quantitative aspects of topics such as the ozone layer, potential greenhouse effects, tropospheric chemistry, chemical fate and transport in aquatic systems, phase interactions and chemical equilibrium. Includes computer modeling, government regulations, pesticides and pollutants, hazardous waste and disposal methods. All topics will be studied from chemical, political and socioeconomic perspectives. 3 hrs. lec., 3 hrs. lab.
