This course is designed to dissect the complexities of sports governance as it relates to authority, policies, rules, and compliance. Students will examine the structure of governance within sports organizations across varying levels and industry segments. Students will analyze the evolving environment of legal and managerial practices in sport governance, encompassing ethical behavior, decision-making, and policy development within the sports industry. This sport-focused course acclimates students to various types of governing bodies, policy applications, and compliance requirements in accordance with industry standards.
