Provide a course of study to prepare students seeking to obtain a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver???s License (CDL) or upgrade from Class B to a Class A CDL, as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Prerequisite requirement for Class A or Class B CDL hands-on training includes: complete the CDL Theory A/B module by successfully passing the required written assessment (exam) with a minimum score of 80%, must be 18 years of age or older; possess a DOT Medical Examiner certificate; obtain a Class A or Class B Commercial Learners Permit (CLP) with General Knowledge, Combination Vehicle and Air Brakes endorsements; pass a regulated drug screen AFTER obtaining a CLP, and be registered on the FMCSA???s Training Providers Registry
