Provides police officers with skills necessary to recognize and identify factors of a crisis event. The lessons taught in this course assist a police officer who responds to a call for service to help initiate safe resolution and de-escalation of aggressive actions. The police officer is also taught communication methods and techniques which can be effective in bringing a crisis event to a safe conclusion through voluntary compliance.
