CompTIA Network+ is a vendor neutral networking certification for IT professionals. The course prepares students for introduction to cyber security coursework by exposing them to the fundamental architectures and designs for modern networks. Topics covered will include networking fundamentals, network implementations, network operations, network security and network troubleshooting. Students will use operating systems and networking tools to complete lab exercises. Lecture will include online videos and exam preparation tools for the CompTIA Network + certification exam. As a resource, students will have access to CompTIA CertMaster CE Network+, an online study platform. CompTIA Network+ is accredited by ANSI to show compliance with the ISO 17024 Standard and, as such, undergoes regular reviews and updates to the exam objectives. Students should possess the pre-requisite knowledge of a basic understanding of how a computer works, computer hardware and terminology. The CompTIA?half A+ certification is not required but it is recommended for CompTIA?half Network+ candidates to have the CompTIA?half A+ certification or equivalent knowledge.
