This course that emphasizes sociological and social scientific approaches to writing and social analysis. Students will be able to explore a sociological or social scientific subfield of their choosing. This course is intended to prepare students for advanced social science topics, as well as provide opportunities for independent research. Additional topics include the history of sociology, IRB, research methods, social scientific writing, theoretical approaches, and analysis of scholarly sources.
