The course will introduce the main concepts involved in global health and emphasize the connection between health, disease, policy, and social determinants of health. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, the course addresses a variety of contemporary global health topics including: health disparities, global burden of disease, health systems, child health, adolescent health, health status measurement, health and human rights, and global health partnerships. The course also examines challenges associated with global health issues and the global efforts and strategies underway to prevent and control them.
