Description:
This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of playing the acoustic guitar. Students with little or no experience will learn the basics of rhythm, scales, and chords as applied to the performance of acoustic guitar. Music styles to be covered include folk, blues, classic rock styles, and contemporary popular tunes. Students will be encouraged to perform in solo and duet settings. Students will also be encouraged to sing as well as play the guitar for their song performances.
