The course is designed to introduce the student to refining skills previously learned and facilitate the development of new clinical skills. Special emphasis will be given to the pathophysiological basis of respiratory insufficiency and the formulation and development of indications-based and outcomes adjusted respiratory care plans. The course is classroom (didactic) instruction providing the rational for clinical application of therapeutic modalities.
