Introduces students to the fundamental principles of translation and interpretation theory and practice from English into Spanish. Students learn to apply translation/interpretation techniques and strategies to resolve language-specific translation/interpretation problems, while practicing the translation of longer texts in a variety of categories that may include literature, healthcare, and the law. Proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
