Introduces students in Nursing, Pre-medical, Pre-PA, and other allied health care fields to more advanced topics in human nutrition including nutrition through the life cycle, selected cultural diet variation, basic food safety concepts, diet and physical activity recommendations, medical nutrition therapy for selected diseases, and enteral and parenteral nutrition support. Digestion and absorption, energy balance, macronutrients, and micronutrients are also reviewed.
