Advances students' knowledge and skills in news gathering and news writing, and prepares students to produce news journalism with greater depth. Students develop advanced techniques of source building, interviewing, journalistic research, and writing for print and digital audiences. Introduces students to beat journalism, enterprise reporting, investigative techniques, and applying journalism ethics and standards to edit news content. This course is an elective for Media and Journalism majors.
