Description:
Designed to provide the concepts and applications necessary for Physical Education teachers to the unique learning needs of students with disabilities in PK-12 settings. The course provides content and applications for preservice teachers to plan and implement learning experiences with developmentally appropriate adaptations and accommodations associated with best practices, including decisions and strategies for inclusion and placement in the least restrictive environment for PK-12 students. The course includes a clinical teaching experience within an authentic one-hour laboratory setting. This course is designed to meet for state and national physical education standards for accreditation.
