Description:
Emphasizes the fundamental principles of exercise testing and prescription with a focus on the health-related components of fitness. Students use these principles to develop appropriate exercise prescriptions for healthy and selected clinical populations. Laboratory experiences are built into the lecture component and provide students with the opportunity to engage in lab-based exercise testing. This course will include development of technical and personal skills related to functional fitness assessments, exercise prescription, exercise leadership, and program management.
