Explores and assesses developmentally appropriate and effective strategies to develop a positive classroom culture, discipline, and classroom management. Current researched-based methods and models for effective planning and establishing a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes learning are reviewed and evaluated. The content of this course relates to standards of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), and the Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (INTASC).
