Description:
Introduces students to theories and methods for helping young children acquire literacy skills. The focus of this course is to provide students with information specific to children from Birth through PK. Students will learn to assess and support young children's literacy, write appropriate activity plans, identify and choose appropriate picture book literature for young children, and integrate children's literacy skills development and children's picture book literature with multiple curricular areas. Students will be required to complete 10 hours of Level 2 Field Experience.
