Links academic content and theory to clinical practice and extends preparation of graduate students in all aspects of clinical management in a medical setting. Graduate students provide services to patients with communication and swallowing disorders at external sites within the professional community. Between CMSD584 (formerly CSD584) and CMSD586 (formerly CSD586), School Field Experience, students earn approximately 250 clinical clock hours toward certification in speech-language pathology as required by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association through supervised clinical experiences.
