Description:
Explores the methods, materials, and concepts associated with painting from the human form. Students will study and apply design and perceptual strategies to paintings that incorporate the human form as a vehicle for personal expression. Students will study anatomy for artists and paint from live models. Contemporary and historical figure painting will serve as prototypes for the course. Studio sessions include painting, individual and group critique, demonstration, and lecture.
