Explores the methods, materials and concepts associated with painting with an emphasis on newer or less common techniques and approaches to applying paint and color to a two-dimensional surface. Various mediums will be introduced, and students are encouraged to explore unique paint supports, paint application methods, and materials. Digital tools may also be employed in combination with traditional media. Studio sessions include painting, individual and group critique, demonstration, and lecture.
