In the course students will study they biochemical relationships and breakdown within metabolic and signaling pathways resulting in multiple disease states. Students will develop a deeper understanding for the points of regulation in metabolic processes, how bimolecular mutations affect disease phenotype, current treatments including drug design, efficacy and toxicity, and the overall impact of these afflictions on societal healthcare.
