Description:
This course provides in-depth study of chemistry knowledge involved in the main classes of hazardous materials including explosives, compressed gases, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers, poisons, corrosives, and radioactive materials. Chemical principles such as molecular structures, reactivity, and compatibility will be examined for each class of hazardous materials. The course will also introduce chemical safety and relevant regulations involved with hazardous materials in various industries, laboratories, and the environment.
