This course is designed to familiarize the student with the development of the art in ancient Egypt, beginning with prehistoric Egypt, and concluding with Egypt under the Romans. Sculpture, architecture, painting, jewelry and other crafts will be studied. The modern rediscovery of Egypt by the West, and the growth of Egyptology will be discussed.
