This graduate level course offers foundational knowledge and skills needed to differentiate the therapeutic properties of various media, materials, and the creative process. The course explores a variety of media and their application with diverse individuals and groups. The use of imagery, creativity, symbolism, and metaphor are discussed. Personal art-making is utilized to maintain a creative process, assist in self- awareness, promote well-being, and guide professional practice.
