Students learn key topics and trends in the nonprofit sector, along with the fields of social entrepreneurship, governing boards, philanthropy, earned incom strategies, advocacy, lobbying, fundraising and leadership, which are the building blocks for the administration of not-for-profit organizations. Through classic and current, domestic and international cases, students review and assess how management theory and practice apply in the fast-growing sector of the economy. A service-learning team project gives students practical experience.
