Includes a study of young adult literature and trends affecting its development; techniques for providing reader advisory services; methods of reaching and serving multicultural and special needs audiences; characteristics of the young adult in contemporary society; and development of programs and other means of introducing young adults to books and nonbook media, with special attention to emerging electronic products and services.
