Provides a laboratory experience in the professional atmosphere of a cooperating library or information center; allows undergraduate students who are not interested in school librarianship an opportunity to have an applied field experience in a public or special library. Evaluation based on observation at the field site, an evaluative paper, and participation in professional seminars. Enrolled by permission of instructor. Offered each semester.
