This course focuses on primary approaches to the health care needs of pediatric patients from birth to emerging adulthood. Topics will include health promotion, disease prevention and disease management with an emphasis on anticipatory guidance and early detection of health, developmental, and behavioral issues. All dimensions of development and the total health of the family are considered.
