In this course, students apply knowledge from previous courses to develop an evidence-based approach to professional nursing care for hospitalized adults facing complex illness or life-threatening events. Synthesis of pathophysiologic, pharmacologic and therapeutic concepts is required. The role of the nurse in inter-professional health care teams is emphasized. This course must be taken as part of the Adult Health Nursing II block.
