Applied instruction will continue the development of repertoire, exercises, and special techniques leading to the satisfactory attainment of proficiencies as established by the Department. Credit for Applied Music is given on the basis of 1 semester hour credit for each 1/2 hour lesson a week. The following are included in Applied Music instruction: voice, piano, flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba, violin, viola, cello, bass, percussion, organ, bagpipes guitar, and Scottish Drumming.
