This course is designed to examine risk management in sports and recreation. It will provide a comprehensive knowledge base for those sports management professionals charged with the responsibility of ensuring the safety of participants and spectators. The course covers a wide range of risk management and safety issues including: legal concerns, emergency action plans, waivers, facilities, equipment, aquatics, supervision, and training. Students will receive clear and detailed explanations of issues to consider before making an informed decision on risk management.
