This course is a continuation of the study of the theory, practice and techniques of the clinical components of medical assisting. Students are introduced to clinical laboratory equipmet, specimen collection and handling, as well as tests and procedures used by clinicians for the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of disease. Sterilization techniques and nutrition are also addressed.
