This course is designed to enable students in liberal arts programs to learn how to use and interpret quantitative information in a real-world context. Students will learn how to use data to make decisions in day-to-day life, develop simple mathematical models in their personal and professional settings, and reach logical conclusions in real-world scenarios. The students will learn by exploring topics such as formal logic, algebraic modeling, and estimation. Students must be in one of the following academic degree programs to take this course: Art & Design, Black Studies, Communication Studies, Creative Writing AC, English, International Studies, ASL/English Interpreting, Liberal Arts, Liberal Arts Honors.
