Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) is more commonly referred to as MIG welding. This course consists of approximately 20 hours in the classroom learning GMAW theory with the balance of time involving hands-on GMAW skill practice in the welding lab. The focus will be on learning and practicing proper welding techniques for flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead welding positions. Essential welding gear is included and participants will have the opportunity to test to the AWS D1.1 qualification.
