Covers powered industrial truck safety features and requirements, vehicle operations, vehicle stability, loading and unloading, and driving rules and regulations. Other topics covered include surface and environment conditions, operator inspections and maintenance, load compositions, and common hazards. This training satisfies the OSHA Safety requirement for classroom training. Successful completion of this course results in a Forklift Certificate, However, students must also choose one or more vehicles for practical operator skills before they are licensed.
