Discusses risk management, safety and insurance as they pertain to the nursing facility. This course defines risk management and the long-term care risk management techniques, recognize the differences between the various types of insurance coverages, and liability issues and the implementation of proactive program to prevent liability. This course is one of 16 required course modules, mandated by the PA State Board of Nursing Home Administrators, that make up the 120-hour Nursing Home Administrator certificate program for those desiring to become a nursing home administrator. This course may be taken as part of the full program or as a standalone for those individuals desiring continuing education units.
