Harrisburg Area Community College-Harrisburg
Subject:
Description:
Allows an organization to assess the competency of individuals, who carry a firearm while they perform their duties. Organizations that require, or plan to require personnel to carry a firearm must be trained on proper use. The student is assessed on proper stance, grip, trigger control, muzzel control, loading skills, reloading skills and malfunction clearance. The outcome of the course provides both the student and the organization with a final report (aka Firearm Competency Evaluation) that outlines the student's competency on their firearm handling skills and marksmanship. The report also provides the student with any recommendations on future training needed, that serve to accomplish the stated goals of the organization, for that student.
