Addresses the issues regarding responsibilities of first responders and processors. Students are taught the evidentiary value and methods of collection of trace and firearms evidence, as well as learn the importance of proper collection of blood evidence, semen, saliva, hair, fibers, DNA, firearms, and casings. Emphasis is placed on the legal and proper procedures of collection which also includes instruction from crime lab personnel on packaging and submission of evidence.
