This 40 hour overview provides students with employment readiness skills for a career as an operator or machinist. The program is designed to familiarize students with the work, tasks, essential skills and daily operations of what it means to work as an operator or machinist in shops from an industry standard. Specifically, the class will cover shop safety, math skills, shop processes and procedures, measurement skills and working with manual machines and hand tools.
