Prepares those interested in becoming PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) ??? certified wastewater treatment plant operators with information needed to sit for the relevant PA DEP certification exams, upon completion of this course. This training covers basic treatment science and calculations, industry safety and chemistry; wastewater collection systems; and wastewater laboratory and plant maintenance operations. For those who pass the certification exams, PA DEP credits students with experience time to fast- track towards becoming a PA DEP licensed operator.
