Prepares Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), who wish to refresh their skills before returning to the clinical setting, as well as prepare to take the NCLEX exam. The curriculum focuses on the nursing process, current nursing practices, trends, ethical/legal issues, pharmacology and clinical management of patients. Attention is given to a variety of aspects including assessment skills, care plans, infection control, , technological advancements, quality assurance and drug administration. Clinical experience is conducted in an acute care medical-surgical facility to provide optimum learning opportunities. Through classroom lectures and hand-on-labs, students have the opportunity to refresh their skills, build confidence and gain insight into new techniques and technology.
